How it Works

Ready to tour some farms? Read about how the Farm Tour works to prepare for the event next July.

  • The Rogue Valley Farm Tour is self-guided, so you can go to whichever farms you want and stay for as long as you’d like during the event. The event will be held in July 2025 (date TBA) from 10am to 3pm. Some locations will be open late, as indicated in the brochure.

Farms and ranches that opt-in to the tour are included in the annual event brochure, which includes a map of the participating locations. Event brochures will be available at various locations throughout the valley, and a digital brochure will also be available for download to your mobile device.

  • The Rogue Valley is a big place! Despite best-laid plans, it’s just not possible to visit every farm on the tour each year. On average, guests are able to visit a maximum of 3-5 farms the day of the event. So make sure to plan your day around must-see farms and activities! Check out our suggested Tour Itineraries for ideas about how to plan an enjoyable day.

Choosing a region on the map and visiting neighboring farms is a good way to maximize the quantity of visits. That said, we highly recommend prioritizing quality over quantity, as each farm has a unique experience to offer and you might miss out if you only have a few minutes to stay.

Quick tip: map out your Farm Tour route on Google Maps, and plan to end the day at one of the farms that will be open late (designated by the “Open Late” icon on the key on the brochure.)

  • Visit farms and ranches around the Rogue and Applegate valleys, participate in field tours and activities, enjoy samples, purchase local produce and products, and learn about the abundance of our local food system! There’s so much to see and do the day of the event. Below are a few tips to ensure you have a great day:

    1) Please leave pets at home.

    2) Bring a water bottle and cooler to store all the farm-fresh goods you purchase on the tour.

    3) Wear comfortable shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.

    4) Stay on established paths and don’t pick produce or flowers without permission from the farm.

    5) GPS and cell phone reception are spotty in some locations. Be sure to confirm travel routes in advance.

    6) Questions about a specific farm? Contact the farm directly using the contact information provided in the brochure. General event question? Send us a message on Facebook or Instagram, or email us at info@roguevalleyfarmtour.com.
