Not sure how to plan your day? Read through our suggested itineraries below to get an idea of where to go, what to do, and how to maximize your time on the farm.

A perfect day in the Applegate Valley for the whole family.
Start your day off at Blossom Barn Cidery (21) where there’s fun for the whole family. Take a hayride tour through the pear orchard and tour the old barn. Adults can enjoy delicious perry ciders and there’s pear juice for the kids.
Next, head to Whistling Duck Farm Store (24) where you can grab snacks for the kiddos and enjoy free samples. Pick up some of their fermented goodies and seasoning blends for home, or to complement a meal at your next stop.
For lunch and some afternoon fun, drive over to Salant Family Ranch (29) where kids under 50 lbs can enjoy pony rides, and the whole family can enjoy grilled burgers. Guided tours available upon request.

Learn about pollinators and how essential they are for many of the agricultural crops we depend on.
Begin your day at Wild Bee Honey Farm (8), a heritage apiary and processing facility. Get an up-close demonstration of their beeswax candle making process – kids can also participate in their own candle rolling activities. Bee sure to take a peek at their processing facility and browse their farm store for fresh, local honey and other bee-themed products.
Next, head west to Itty Bitty Acres (5), to explore their orchard, flowers, honey bees, produce, and chickens. Enjoy lawn games, arts & crafts, and don’t miss the guided hayride tours - offered every two hours. Snacks will also be available for purchase.
Finish your day at Dos Mariposas Vineyard & Lavender Farm (16), a family-friendly vineyard and lavender farm, where you can stroll through rows of gorgeous lavender while harvesting your own bundles and watch an essential oil distillation demonstration. Afterwards, enjoy live music by the pond with a glass of wine and dinner from a local food truck. Take a piece of this Dos Mariposas home with you - pick up some of their lavender essential oils or lotions available for purchase in the Tasting Room. Dos Mariposas is open until 6pm so you can extend your Farm Tour experience!

Explore local historic working farms.
Start your day at the historic Hanley Farm (12), established in 1857 and now owned and operated by the Southern Oregon Historical Society. Grab a pamphlet and enjoy a self-guided tour of the farm – filled with rare plants and trees collected by the Hanley family over the years. A curator will be on site to answer questions.
As lunch time approaches, head east to Dunbar Farms (14), a fourth generation Century Farm producing organic produce, stone-milled flours, grains, grass hay and award-winning wines. Meet the horses and cows, and visit the tasting room to explore the history of the farm, enjoy a tasting, and purchase lunch and a glass of wine. Open until 6pm with live music.
End your day at Plaisance Ranch (25) in the Applegate Valley, and if time allows, visit another nearby farm on your way there. A working ranch since 1858, Plaisance is run by third-generation wine grape growers and ranchers, Joe and Suzi Ginet. This regenerative ranch features 157 USDA certified organic acres dedicated to raising beef cattle that graze on native grass hay from pastures that have never been plowed. They treat their grape vines with that same organic integrity. Enjoy a grass-fed burger or hot dog for dinner along with award-winning wines. Open until 6pm with live music.

A fun and educational day for new and seasoned gardeners.
Start your day at Herb Pharm (27) and take a guided tour or self-explore their 80-acre property filled with herbs and a beautiful botanical garden. Sample Herb Pharm tinctures and infused herbal lemonade.
From there, head east on Kincaid Road to visit Goodwin Creek Gardens (26) where you can browse herbs, lavender, and native plants – and take some home to plant in your own garden.
Next head toward Medford, and stop at Lakota’s Garden (17) to explore this family farm and food forest growing a variety of fruits and heirloom vegetables, and specializing in melons from all over the world. Guided tours every hour, on the hour.
If you have the time and energy to keep going, head southeast to Garden Girl Farm (18). This permaculture haven features a nutrient dense food forest, as well as an elderberry and medicinal orchard. Say hello to Pollinator Project Rogue Valley and learn about native pollinators.

Taste and experience farms from Rogue River to Grants Pass.
Wake up and smell the lavender! If you haven’t had the chance to visit Lavender Ally Farm (3), this is a great place to start. You’ll have an opportunity to pick your own lavender for the day - take it home to make tea, lemonade, or sprinkle on your favorite sugar cookie recipe.
On your way to Grants Pass, stop by Easy Valley Farm (4) to see what’s growing this July! They have lots of produce, a farm stand, food for purchase, and farm tours throughout the day. Maybe you’ve just discovered your local farm stand to access throughout the growing season - ask the farmers what their favorite recipes are for inspiration in your kitchen.
All the foodies know the Rogue Valley is famous for its Rogue River Blue from Rogue Creamery - take a noon visit where all the cheese mastery begins - the Rogue Creamery Dairy and Farm Stand (1). You’ll get to see the dairy farm and tour the state of the art milking system that’s behind making the world famous, organic, handmade cheese we all love. There will be cheese to taste of course.
Once you’ve had your cheese fill, if that’s even possible — head on over to Daily Blessings Farm (2), home of the Josephine County Farm Collective. This amazing nonprofit is changing the food security landscape for Josephine County. Pick your own strawberries and learn about the farmer-led Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program that gives you seasonal fruits and vegetables throughout the entire growing season while supporting families in need of fresh produce.

Scoop up your besties, grab some coffee, and hit the road for a girls day out visiting local farms!
First stop is Blossom Barn Cidery (21). Opened in 2023, this solar-powered family farm focuses on making heritage perries, which are hard ciders made exclusively from pears. Visit the tasting room and sample a cider and plan your next visit because you’ll definitely want to come back.
Next, you’re off to Troon Vineyard (22) which is only a couple of minutes a way. Troon Vineyard is a treat! This Biodynamic and Regenerative Organic certified vineyard boasts delicious wines, and will be offering guided tours at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
Whistling Duck Farm and Store (24) is a short hop south and then north again and it’s the perfect place to grab lunch or a snack. Bring a cooler and stock up on produce fresh from the fields, delicious ferments and prepared foods, and many local and regional natural foods and goods at the Farm Store, located in the Big Red Barn.
The final stop for the day is less than 10 minutes away at Plaisance Ranch (25). Even though the Farm Tour technically ends at 3pm be sure to check each individual farm listing because several of them are open later! Plaisance is the perfect end to a beautiful day. This certified organic ranch produces 100% grass-fed beef and award-winning old world style wines. Enjoy wine tasting, guided tours, burgers and hot dogs available for purchase, and live music until 6pm!
